How we handle personal data collected through this website.
Who we are
Druid Vision, 65 London Wall, London EC2M 5TU, United Kingdom, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at ldn@druid.vision.
What we collect, and when
Browsing this site does not require an account and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
When you open one of our research papers, you are asked to sign in with a Google account. Google passes us your name, your email address and the fact that the address is verified. We do not receive your password and we have no other access to your Google account. You may also add your firm, which is optional.
We record which paper you opened, the date, and the country your request came from, so that we know which research is being read and where. We do not store your IP address.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use your email address to give you access to the paper you asked for. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in knowing who reads research we make available.
If — and only if — you tick the box asking to hear about future research, we will also use your address to send you new papers when they are released. That is based on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to us or using the unsubscribe link in any message. Withdrawing consent does not affect what you have already downloaded.
We do not sell this data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where it is kept, and for how long
The records are held in a database operated by Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes data on our behalf. Google acts as the identity provider for the sign-in step, under its own privacy policy.
We keep download records for three years, and contact details for as long as you wish to hear from us. If you withdraw consent we remove your address from our list.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for a copy in a portable format, or object to our use of it. Write to ldn@druid.vision and we will answer within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country — in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office.
